Prof Obafemi Ajibola is the Managing Director/CEO of New Nigeria Foundation (NNF) - a non-governmental organization with a vision to achieve sustainable social and economic development of Nigerian communities through public/private partnerships. He holds a first degree from University of Ife; a doctorate degree in agricultural engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA; and has extensive administrative, research, teaching and consultancy experience.

Prior to his work with NNF, Prof Ajibola was a Professor of Agricultural Engineering at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife where he supervised several postgraduate students, published scores of academic papers and served at different times as Head, Department of Agricultural Engineering; Dean, Faculty of Technology; Chairman, Committee of Deans; and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration).  He is a registered Professional Engineer, Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering (NAE) and has served as consultant to several national and international development organizations.

He is currently the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council of Osun State University, Osogbo; Chairman, Board of Directors of the Centre for Research and Development (CERAD); Member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) and Chairman of several development oriented committees.
