Dr. Olubamiwa trained as an Agricultural Biochemist/Nutritionist at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He has diligently pursued a career as a post-harvest/end-uses Research Scientist at the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN) for twenty eight years. He rose through all the research ranks at CRIN to Director (Research) in 2007. Two of his research pursuits in poultry nutrition (using farm/industrial wastes of cocoa in partial replacement for maize) have been commercialized. He is an advocate of cocoa powder consumption for combating malaria and diabetes. About 30,000 copies of his book on this issue are already in circulation. He was the lead scientist in the development of the highly relished CRIN cocoa bread. His leadership skill has been honed through pastoring a church at the University of Ibadan for the past 20 years.
