Olumide Lawson is a partner at Sahel Capital, a private equity and advisory firm focused primarily in agribusiness in Nigeria. Prior to his current role, Olumide has had almost 18-year career in finance. Olumide was previously the Chief Financial Officer of Lotus Capital, a full service ethical investment boutique asset management, private wealth management advisory services, and financial advisory services firm where he developed and executed the financial strategy of Lotus and oversaw the company’s financial planning and budget.

Since mid-2013, Olumide has been one of the fund managers and a member of the investment committee of FAFIN (Fund for Agricultural Finance in Nigeria), an agriculture-focused investment fund. He also sits on the Board of Directors of three of the fund’s portfolio companies, L&Z Integrated Farms, Diamond Pearls Agro-Allied Limited and Dayntee Farms Limited

Olumide holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation and is also an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA). He holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
