Ganiat currently manages the palm oil sector intervention of the DFID funded Market Development Programme in Niger Delta (MADE) -  which applies a market development approach (M4P) to improve market access, increase economic activity, and raise the incomes of 150,000 poor people, half of whom will be women.  She currently works with support service providers such as fabricators, marketers of improved harvesting technologies, agricultural input companies and large plantations within the palm oil value chain with the aim of increasing uptake of improved production and processing technologies and thus productivity and incomes of smallholder oil palm farmers and millers across the Niger Delta region.

Prior to this, she had been involved in design and implementation of social and economic development programmes, value chain analyses/assessment of commodity and non- commodity value chains, private sector enterprise development, stakeholder and community engagement, gender mainstreaming, results framework design and measurement, research and survey design, etc. for many international, national and private organizations and donor agencies. Ganiat holds a first and master’s degrees in Agricultural Economics.
