Dara is currently the Programs Director of the Foundation for Partnerships Initiatives in the Niger Delta, a private Foundation established by Chevron Corporation to promote inclusive economic growth and sustainable peace in the region. In this role, he is responsible for providing strategic guidance, support and oversight for the design and implementation of all PIND’s programs; partnership building and engagement with key stakeholders.
He is an international development expert with over 35 years of multi-layered experience across different sectors and countries. Specializing in the interrelated fields of market systems development, poverty reduction, environment and natural resources management as well as governance.
Dara holds a Ph.D in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ife, Ile Ife, Nigeria. He had postgraduate training in Development Projects Management at the University of Bradford and NGO Management from the Imperial College in the UK.
