Mrs Anita Laz-Nwokeafor is an Executive Director with Blue River Farms Limited, an agricultural development and trading company focused on the production of quality food, development of markets and impacting the income generating capacities of our farmers and communities.

Anita Laz- Nwokeafor began her career with Guaranty Trust Bank in 1991. She moved to MBNA America Bank in the United States acquiring knowledge of financial, credit and international trade transactions. She earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence (J.D.), in 1997 and is experienced in the drafting and negotiating of various transactional documents including joint venture, trade agreements and represented migrant farmers working on the Rio Grande valley.

She horned her commercial skills by working for Emergen Communications LLC, where was responsible for entering strategic markets, brand identification and prioritization of customers.  She was Executive Director, Bureau for Public Private Partnerships, Rivers State Government where she identified and implemented successful agricultural initiatives aimed at reducing youth unemployment.

In her current assignment, she is responsible for ensuring that Blue River Farms Limited is a sustainable agribusiness that will forward integrate into the production of packaged corn meal, canned sweet corn and multi cereal mixes.
